As we sit back and reflect on six years in our family home, it’s hard to believe how much has changed since we first moved in. This house, once just a structure filled with drywall and paint samples, quickly became the backdrop to our family story. As we navigated the rollercoaster of infertility and uncertainty, this place offered us a renewed sense of hope as we transformed it into a home.
The Project that Became Our Sanctuary
In 2019, Finn and I were searching for a fresh start. Leaving behind our cozy two-bedroom condo for a spacious house turned out to be the grounding move we desperately needed. Our whirlwind three-month renovation allowed us to channel our energy into creating a cozy haven, and what’s more, it became the very place where we welcomed our precious daughter, Rory, into the world.
Growing Up in a Loving Space
The day-to-day life in our home is filled with laughter, love, and the little chaos that comes with raising a family. The walls of our home are now adorned not just with art but with the joy of childhood captured in sticky fingerprints and cherished family moments. Having a big family calendar in the kitchen and clutter in the living room speaks to the life we now live.
